Work towards a society in which all citizens are equally able to achieve their rights and fulfil their responsibilities; work in common cause with poor people and those who have been denied their rights to obtain social justice and development and be part of locally rooted citizen movements.
Promote intellectual excellence, religious dialogue and cultural understanding; bring relief to the poor and those thus disposed, providing access to education and promoting democracy and good governance within civil society; use wisdom and good guidance for educating people into the rule of law and human rights; promote social and peaceful coexistence among religions, different schools of thought, ethnic groups and various cultures while rejecting factionalism; encourage a spirit of tolerance, love, friendship and equality; oppose extremism and radicalism; encourage dialogue among revealed religions, religious schools and doctrines, and mobilize society against discrimination, chauvinism and factionalism; reinforce complementaries and encourage coordination among international institutions that share similar activities in the promotion of education, humanitarian and intercultural activities, and enhance the role of civil society; help youth by developing their cultural and educational capabilities, offering workshops and supporting university students by various means; assist in projects aimed at the protection of the family and the education of orphans and children; build sport and recreation facilities for the youth.
Make both Christians and Muslims understand and accept each other in order to create a suitable atmosphere for a common living; Encourage interfaith and cultural dialogues between different peoples and religions in the Holy Land; Put an end to attempts by those who try to exploit religions for their own ends; Pave the way for justice and peace and to work for the rights of the oppressed, the poor and the marginalized in society; Focus on current pressing issues and problems facing society; Create awareness for pluralistic, democratic and civil society as well as commitment to human rights; Promote awareness and commitment to society and peace among the youth; Organize lectures, conferences and study days to further the mission of the Center; Publish newsletters, journals and books to proliferate the message of the center locally and internationally.
Fulfil the needs of the thirsty for knowledge and disseminate Islamic teachings; generate internationally recognized thoughts, train knowledgeable, refined, and responsible students who are effective in international scientific-religious occasions; use experiences, modern technologies, insist upon preserving and improving traditional, seminary-based methods; train devout, responsible, time oriented religious scholars in Islamic and humanities fields, introduce, produce and publicize religious thoughts, and support seminary schools which are effective in religious and scientific fields.
Promote harmonious intercultural relations, particularly among Jews and Muslims; facilitate mutual knowledge; reach out to those who yearn and work for peace and mutual respect; promote greater mutual knowledge among peoples of different cultures and religions, particularly Jews and Muslims; bring about changes in attitudes and perceptions and develop a culture of peace and tolerance.
Mobilise to faithfully live the message of God's love; nurture a common understanding of the faith; interpret and respond to challenges to human dignity; act prophetically in word, life, and service for healing.

Combat negative stereotypes and provide an American Muslim voice in speaking out against extremism and terrorism; support human and civil rights activists and programmes in the Middle East and North Africa through its international bureaus and numerous programmes, conferences, and training workshops; change the discourse both within the American Muslim community and in American society in general by organising numerous interfaith and interethnic events, providing discussion guides and educational curriculum to the public, and launching a student-led campus initiative that offers an alternative Muslim voice and a civic identity grounded in pluralism and progressive thinking.
